Holiday World Show in Ireland 2012

With Christmas over and with the winter passing by quickly, a lot of people will be starting to think about planning holidays for the Spring and Summer. Several travel shows pop up in the first few months of the year both in Ireland and across Europe to satisfy this consumer demand and in Ireland, the ‘Holiday World Show’ is one of the best travel shows. This year’s 2012 show starts in Belfast tomorrow (20th to 22nd January) and then moves down to Dublin next weekend (27th to 29th January).

The Holiday World Show in Ireland showcases holiday destinations worldwide, although of course, destinations in Ireland are heavily promoted and this show is great for learning about places to travel and see in Ireland. The show brings together some interesting and a wide variety of exhibitors, with those attending set to include the Vienna Tourist Board, Maldron Hotel Limerick, the Birds of Prey Centre, the Frank McCourt Museum and the Kenya Tourist Board. The show seems to be made up of roughly 40% of Irish based travel companies and 60% from non-Irish based businesses.

The variety of travel types covered at the show is also wide. Aside from the classic beach holiday and city break, you can learn about opportunities in Ireland and worldwide for caravan and motorhome travel (with a special section at the show dedicated to this form of travel), over 55’s holidays, adventure holidays, cruises and volunteering holidays. If you love to travel, this show will have something of interest.

The format of the show is split into 9 regions so people can find exactly what they are looking for with minimum fuss. The sections are Adventure travel, cruises and ferries, home holidays, caravans and motorhomes, and destination specific sections on Africa and Middle East, Caribbean, Asia and the Pacific, the Americas and Europe and the Mediterranean. There is also Eoghan Corry’s Travel Clinic, sharing expert advice on how to have the best possible holiday for the best possible price. You can learn more about the show from the official Holiday World Show website.
