Guide to the Taste of Christmas Show

Christmas provides a welcome excuse to produce some of the most fantastic recipes and indulge in foods which would be viewed as excessive at other times of the year. One of the most popular aspects of the Christmas period is the food and the ‘Taste of Christmas Show’ is a highly anticipated yearly event which is held in Dublin Convention Centre and which celebrates the very best in Christmas foods.

This event is much more than a typical exhibition where people set up stands and demonstrate their products, given that there are a series of high profile exhibitors and visitors from the world of TV and food who offer a range of exciting interactive activities and performances to entertain the thousands who flock from around Ireland and beyond to be here. Expect for example to see the hosts from Masterchef Ireland along with some of the shows chefs, as they provide live cooking demonstrations.

Some of the best restaurants in Dublin set up stalls to interact with customers and demonstrate their culinary skills and the event is a great opportunity for the public to sample food from many of the city’s foods in one place. Whilst traditional and local Irish foods dominate the exhibits, expect to see dishes from around Europe and from around the world. One of the most popular features of the Taste of Christmas Show is the taste of Asia section which takes the visitor on a voyage of discovery and provides a genuine taste of Malaysian cuisine as well as the culture.

Despite the name of the event the Taste of Christmas Show is about more than food, there is also a Hamley’s toy section where kids can meet Santa whilst Parents can stock up on stocking fillers and gain that key inspiration to fill out their present’s lists.  This is an exhibitions which is perfect for all of the family and will most likely put you in a truly festive spirit.

You can find out more including entrance times and prices via the official ‘Taste of Christmas’ website online. If you are exhibiting at the show, you can also get Exhibition stands advice in Ireland from Clip Ireland.
